Photos won't upload?

    Trying to add a featured image to a post and it won’t upload. It starts but freezes just after starting (the blue upload bar makes it maybe a tenth of the way). My image isn’t too large, I have space, and I’ve tried on both Safari and Chrome. I tried and gave up last night, thinking it would resolve itself, but it still won’t work. Also won’t work with the insert media tool in the post, so it’s not exclusive to the featured image. Don’t know what else to try and I need to get this post up. Help?
