PHP installation error + website login issues

  To whom it may concern,

  This is a small business website and the page has been created a long time ago. We are trying to understand why we are getting a ‘Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress’ error when opening the website. All the login info I’ve been given by the supervisor don’t work when trying to login because of the PHP error. I don’t think we have a wordpress login account because none of our emails are registered on wordpress.

  Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your website. However, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

  WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

  With that said, you’ll need to contact your hosting provider’s support about this.
