Php update
-
I can not find anything that looks like what the instructions are telling me to do to update php. I have done a backup of our site. I can not find anything that looks like ‘environment’ as a tab. When I go to pages there is nothing that says site. WP is our host. help!!!!!

What is the URL of the site you are trying to update php for? We’ll be happy to take a look and see if we can help.

the site is: hendrygladesaudubon.org
Honestly, I am confused now because the person who said it wasn’t working was wrong, it is working, but I am still getting the message php is not updated. It is hosted by bluehost.com. Now I am waiting for her to send me a password to get into that. She also said the blue host said they updated it, but I don’t see that on my dashboard as I still see out of date. Sorry if this is confusing to you, but I am kind of caught in the middle of trying to figure this out. Any help would be appreciated. Because I would just rather go in and update it myself if I can figure it out, or if you can do it that is even better.
THANK YOU so much!!! dianne -
Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Bluehost.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
With all that said, this is something that can only be done on your hosting provider’s end: https://my.bluehost.com/hosting/help/447
Your hosting provider’s support team may also be able to assist.
