There is no automated way to download all the images from your media library. You will have to download them individually.

Do you have anywhere that you could set up a self-hosted WordPress site? If so, the much faster way would be to set up a self-hosted site, export your WordPress.com site (including images), import it into the self-hosted site, then install this plugin and download:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/downml/
You wouldn’t even have to have a webhost. If you know how (or were interested in searching/posting on http://wordpress.org/support/ ti find out) you could set up a locally hosted WordPress site and do it that way.

It sounds like a pain, but it will be MUCH faster than downloading the images one by one from your .com media library.
-
-
- Log into your WordPress.com Dashboard.
- Go do your Media Library
- Click on the “list” icon to show the images as a list rather than a grid of thumbnails (screenshot: http://snag.gy/drous.jpg)
- Roll your mouse over an image and then click the “view” link when it appears.
- Click on the image on the next page.
- When you see a page with JUST the image on it, right click and choose “save image as”
- Go back to the Media Library and do it all again for the next image.
