pictures of older posts gone

  Hello everyone

  We are a NGO for refugees in Vienna (Deutsch ohne Grenzen) and we set up Blog on wordpress.com a few month ago.
  Our wordpress page is the following: https://blogdeutschohnegrenzen.wordpress.com

  Now we have the problem that there are missing pictures (which have already been there once) of three blogpost. Instead it shows a question mark.
  We set the pictures directly in the post so they are not saved in the library, they are only in the text. The latest posts are fine and the system is working out, we only have problems with older posts (of May this year).

  I think it´s not a problem of the browser. I have Safari and Opera in the latest versions, I tried both, a friend of mine too.

  Do you have any idea what the problem could be?

  Hi Julia,

  We set the pictures directly in the post so they are not saved in the library, they are only in the text.

  If you paste an image into a post after copying it from an external site, it would disappear if the original image was deleted or moved. Might this be what has happened?

  The Insert an Image from the Web section of the Adding Images to Posts or Pages support page says:

  If the file is hosted elsewhere and does not get automatically uploaded to your Media Library, the image will no longer work on your blog if it gets deleted from that site.
