  Hi,
  I am about to publish a new article and want to know how & where to place a PDF e-book for readers to download from.
  Please advise

  You could use a button at the bottom of that article to link the pdf. Or, another idea would be to keep it in the widget space on your site. Share that URL so we can take a closer look at things.
