  I am upgrading to premium plan from free plan. I want my domain name to change. Can I do that?

  Yes. That is the main reason many people upgrade. Do you already own a domain you wish to transfer/map to your .wordpress.com site? If not you can purchase a custom domain as you purchase the plan.
