‘Please check your Primary Site’s Jetpack connection’
-
Hello,
I am trying to access my site, but whenever I try I get the notice: ‘Please check your Primary Site’s Jetpack connection’. If I click on wp-admin it redirects me to http://www.raisingthedead.ninja/wp-admin which is already deleted. -
Hi there,
The domain raisingthedead.ninja has expired and that’s why you cannot access your site. Please get in touch with your domain registrar to help you restore it.
-
I read that I should disconnect the jeatpack site and I am trying to do this:
https://wordpress.com/support/disconnect-jetpack-sites/But I can’t reach “My Site”.
-
You only need to disconnect Jetpack if you no longer want to use that plugin, or if you want to take your site offline. Otherwise, as soon as you renew your domain, the connection should start working again.
You’re getting that error because at the moment your domain is expired and your site is offline. That has nothing to do with Jetpack, and is something you need to contact your domain and hosting provider to fix.
But I can’t reach “My Site”.
Do you mean when you click on My Site in the top-left corner of the screen? What happens when you do that?
-
Hmm, it seems I fixed it by going to https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs and deleting the page from there. But I wonder why the site was under my blogs, because it wasn’t a site I owned?
-
It was under your My Blogs page because you had that site connected to your WordPress.com account via the Jetpack plugin.
That Jetpack connection was broken because your site is offline due to an expired domain. Now you’ve removed that Jetpack connection completely, so now your site no longer has any connection to WordPress.com.
For any more help with that site, please contact your hosting provider directly.
-
I just want to make sure that you know that the site http://www.raisingthedead.ninja is not my site and I only visited it back when it was still up.
