please confirm guided transfer is the solution

  I have a free wordpress blog and want to install an AWeber web form to collect email addresses from my readers, but I can’t do this because the free wordpress blog does not support plugins. I’m trying to find out the easiest way to do this. Is there a way to upgrade my blog from the free wordpress.org to a wordpress.com version so that I can have those options? I know this costs 129$ and I want to make sure that this is the best way for me to do this.
  Another question: Does the transfer to wordpress.org allow me to embed you tube videos on my blog or is that an a la carte service? Thanks!

  Hi there, no upgrade on WordPress.com would allow you to embed a form, since we don’t allow any form or JavaScript code for security reasons. You can read here about the types of code we allow on WordPress.com. What many folks do instead is simply link to a standalone signup form, which many email marketing services provide.

  Both WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress.org sites allow you to easily embed YouTube videos. No upgrades or plugins are needed on either platform. You can read our guide to embedding YouTube videos on WordPress.com.

  Our Guided Transfer service is one way to switch from using WordPress.com to WordPress.org, but it’s not the only way – some folks choose to do the transfer themselves, and we provide export options for going that route.
