Please help me. The format of my site was just fine until yesterday, March 28, 2022. Please have Autommatic support put it back as it was.

Every time I try to post an article (over the last few days) it does NOT post as it has for the last 1200 entries! (YEARS!)
It won’t let me write from an identifying category (the tag tool will not work for me. ) Also,
on my dashboard, I lost the WP icon for “Radical Relief and Wellness” where the above category is located. (but I still have one for AntiAging and Wellness). THank goodness!) In addition
How can I exit from the software without leaving the site open (to avoid having to sign in every time). How do I post from category? How can I easily use the software? Where is the short, to -the- point, detailed explanation/guide of what I need to do? What do the dopey icons mean? or please, just let me use the old format by- i.e., write a post or a copy and paste format.
I had my technique. It no longer works. Could it could be due to the upcoming FSE? I have no clue how to use it. Help! -

Can you describe what happens when you try to post? Is the “Publish” button greyed out? Is it clickable but nothing happens when you click it? Does it say it published but the post doesn’t appear on the site? Something else?

I’m afraid I don’t understand what you mean here. What exactly are you trying to do, and what’s going wrong?
Categories and tags are also different things. Can you confirm which one you’re having trouble with?

Are you speaking of these?
I can see the site icons for all three of your sites that have them set. If any of those icons aren’t visible for you, it’s a problem with your browser. Try clearing your browser cache and see if that makes any difference:

WordPress.com isn’t software running on your computer, but an online service you access via a web browser. If you’re done working on your site, simply close the browser tab you were on.
We use browser cookies to detect that you’re logged into your account, and by default that login cookie remains in your browser for months at a time. So the next time you open your browser and go to WordPress.com, you should still be logged into your account.
The only time that won’t happen is if you don’t allow cookies in your browser, or use a browser setting or browser add-on to automatically delete cookies whenever you close your browser.

Categories are something you assign to a post in the editor, and you can use category pages to display only posts from a particular category on one page. But you’ll always start by creating the post first, and adding the category second. There’s no way to start from a category, and create a post from there.

What do the dopey icons mean?
To which icons are you referring? If you want, you can take a screenshot of what you’re talking of, and upload it to your site’s media library. Then we’ll be able to see it there.

Are you speaking of the classic editor? You can still use that by going to Posts ->All Posts. Click Screen Options top-right, and select Classic View. Then you’ll have the option to create posts using the classic editor instead.

However, this option won’t be available indefinitely, as the classic editor is no longer part of the open source WordPress software. So if you prefer the classic editor’s feel, we recommend you use the classic block in the block editor instead:

Could it could be due to the upcoming FSE?
FSE/Full Site Editing was launched in WordPress 5.9 which came out in January, and has been available to all WordPress.com sites since then.
However, the site editor can only be used with the new block themes. You’re using a classic theme on your site, so the site editor isn’t active on your site, and isn’t in any way related to any issues you might be experiencing :)

I just took a look at your site after viewing your newer comment here. I think I do see what you mean: you blog posts page isn’t working anymore, and currently points to recipes — which now shows all posts.
There are also some menu items that might not be what you wanted.
Let us know where you want your posts to show up (on the front page? on a blog page?) and we’ll see if we can help you sort that first. This may help too:
