Please help: student's blog reset with all posts lost

Good morning, all. I am an 11th grade English teacher who has been working on a project with students to create online nature journals through Wordpess.com, in the vein of Thoreau’s Walden. Recently, a student logged in to find that they were being asked to undergo the initial steps for their blog, in the same way they were asked when they first signed up for the site. They went through the process and were horrified to discover that their blog is now empty. There are no trashed posts or drafts to recover–just nothing.

Is there any possibility that this is recoverable? My heart is aching for this student.

Thank you in advance for any insight.

What is the username of that person?
What is the URL (blog address) starting with http:// of the site?
