Please help with subscription website template

Hello, I am very new to WordPress (this is day 1). I’d like to create a website which has a subscription/members only section, however, I’d like the content for each subscriber to be unique AND interactive. For example, I’d like to ask the subscriber to name their favorite book and then I’d like content to be delivered to them uniquely with relevance to that book (unique content for each paid member). Also I’d like their to be a shared area for all users to talk to each other and connect (such as an open forum). Does anyone have any suggestions for which template I can use for these features (i.e. subscription tool, customization per member content, and all subscribed members section)?

That’s not possible on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. Hire a webhost and set up a WordPress.org install.

Thanks so much for responding. So what do I do after installing it? my understanding is that there are templates that I can purchase with existing capabilities, right? If so do you know of any that would have the sort of functionality that I have in mind? Thanks!!

All the instructions for WordPress.org blogs are found at WordPress.org itself, in their support forums and guides. You may want to purchase the book WordPress for Beginners, which is excellent, or go through the tutorials at Lynda.com.
