Hello, I am utilizing this site for a college course and my assignment is to add a plug-in but I cannot without purchase. I cannot afford $48 to use this for one class. Is there a free option that I can use to install plug-ins and migrate my page to that?

Installing plugins on WordPress.com can only be done on our Business Plan, so our $48 Personal Plan won’t be what you need either.
As an alternative you can try jurassic.ninja. That site will allow you to spin up a temporary WordPress site where you’ll be able to install plugins. It’s meant for developers as a way to quickly test plugins, but it might work for your needs as well. Just note that those sites self-destruct automatically after a certain time, so don’t use it for anything you need to be around for a while.

Thank you very much! My course instructor was able to help. Apparently, I had to use a hosting service for the course project.
