  I have a free WordPress plan. I’m looking to install a plug in for a calendar system.it suggests the plug in is free. But then it tells me I have to upgrade my plan to a business plan. Can plug ins not be used if you are on a free WordPress account plan?

  You will need a paid Business or eCommerce plan to use plugins on a WordPress.com site: https://wordpress.com/support/plugins/
