Plugin Issue
-
I believe I have accidentally deleted a plugin…
To a non noob like myself this may sound like a stupid question but is there a plugin for bluehost?
I am using wordpress with bluehost and I think I accidentally deleted the ‘bluehost’ plugin… if such a plugin exists.I remember seeing it on the list of plugins and then it disappeared after I attempted to temporarily deactivate it.
I tried to search for a bluehost plugin to reinstall but can’t find one…I may just have imagined I saw it as it instantly disappeared and I was not asked ‘are you sure you want to delete this plugin?’
I have been panicking thatI have now messed up my site completely.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,
I checked your site and it appears you’re in the wrong forum. Your site is using the open source WordPress.org software and you need to seek help at these forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. Since we do not have access to self-hosted WordPress.org sites, we are unable to provide any direct assistance to your issue. I would reach out to your site Bluehost for help. And no, Bluehost does not have a plugin – they host your self-hosted WordPress site and you can install and activate the plugins on for your WordPress site.
Here is a Bluehost doc on how to manage themes and plugins:

If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org you can read this document:
Thanks!

Thank you for your help!
I’ve come to the conclusion that I did not delete anything after all. Not sure what I thought I saw but everything seems to be running fine and I am gradually getting the hang of things.
But thanks so much for the info that has helped me to clarify things! As I said, still very new to this! Panic over.
Much appreciated!! Cheers
