  Disqus got hacked recently. Trust me, it’s not worth the insecurity.

  I understand what you’re saying about Disqus being hacked (Need to look into that. News to me) but has the vulnerability been fixed? Disqus is so ubiquitous as a comment platform I don’t necessarily see why WordPress doesn’t allow it (despite vulnerabilities that have existed in the past).

  Now if they’ve not been patched, then I see you point. Otherwise, not quite getting it.
