Plz help unravel my mess

As suggested by friends, I have tried to set up a website with wordpress. I also signed up with Dream Host. When I merged the page to Dream host a new page formed on wordpress….It only gives me the option for 17 Themes, and does not show the one I had been working on which called Stay. I am stuck!!!!
When I signed on with wordpress, the system somehow created a URL out of my email address instead of using the name I had already chosen. I have no idea how to correct this.
I have read the pages about changing domain names etc, and that is not what I am looking for. Just want simple correction with registering and getting started….

It sounds like you have two completely separate blogs: one hosted at Dreamhost, one hosted here.
Start by realizing they are different. One is WordPress.ORG, and one is WordPress.COM, and they work differently. We can only answer questions about the latter, not the former. If you don’t need them both, decide which one you want to keep and delete the other. If you paid for hosting you won’t use, get your money back from Dreamhost.

That’s easy. Always do a search of the support documents when you have a specific issue like that: http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/ Note that, like deletions, URL changes are permanent and irreversible.
