  Wordpress.org provides now Plugin for podcasts. Can I use this also via WordPress.com, where I already have an account and blog?

  If you want to use plugins on the wordpress.com platform, you must upgrade to the Business Plan, https://wordpress.com/pricing/. On the other hand did you already read https://wordpress.com/support/audio/podcasting/
