Pointed Name Servers to my hosting service (Acorn), but my website not appearing

  My domain name is with WordPress, but I host my website through Acorn Hosting. Despite pointing Name Servers to my hosting service (Acorn), my website is STILL not appearing. It’s been over a month of trying to fix this… PLEASE POINT MY NAME SERVERS TO ACORN!!!

  Hi there,

  I checked your domain (under Store > My Domains in your dashboard), and it’s still using WordPress.com name servers. You can change the name servers to point to your new host by following this guide: Change Name Servers

  If you’re not sure how, please start by checking with your new host to find out what name servers to use for the site. Then, you can reply to this thread to let me know, and I can help you enter them here on this end.

  Hello! I’ve retyped them (again) and still no luck… They are:
  ns7.acornhost.com
  ns8.acornhost.com

  Hi there,

  I just checked your domain, and it’s now using those two name servers for Acorn Hosting — it looks like they saved correctly this time around. :)

  It may take some time (in some cases up to 72 hours) for that change to take effect everywhere, so don’t be surprised if you don’t see your website when you visit your domain right away. If you want to speed that process along on your own computer, you can try flushing your computer’s DNS cache.

  Hey! It worked for a moment, then stopped. This is getting ridiculous

  Then it just worked again, and then stopped again…. my business is at a stand still until this gets fixed, and it’s been weeks

  Hi there,

  It can take up to 72 hours for a domain change to take full effect across the internet (that process is called DNS propagation), so in the meantime you may see it switch back and forth. That’s normal, and it should settle down after a few days.

  You can try to speed along the process on your computer by flushing your computer’s DNS cache if you’d like. If you continue to see problems with it after a few days, please let me know.
