Pointing the IP Address?
-
I transferred the domain registration (for eyestoburma.org and eyestoburma.com) to 1&1 from godaddy. The site is down, and I’m told that I have to point the IP address or name server (or 1&1 has to point to the IP address or name server). I’m not that computer savvy and need help with this. I’m anxious to get the website up again. Help!

Hi there, it looks like your name servers for both domains are already pointing to WordPress.com.
I’m seeing your WordPress.com site here:
…but not here: http://eyestoburma.com – it seems to be redirecting to http://eyestoburma.com/defaultsite
When I ran the eyestoburma.com domain through a second whois domain database tool, it showed the name servers for the .com domain still pointing to 1&1’s default name servers, as you can see here:
Domain Name: EYESTOBURMA.COM
Registrar: 1 & 1 INTERNET AG
Whois Server: whois.schlund.info
Referral URL: http://1and1.com
Name Server: NS-US.1AND1-DNS.COM
Name Server: NS-US.1AND1-DNS.US
Status: ok
Updated Date: 21-jun-2013
Creation Date: 29-jul-2010
Expiration Date: 29-jul-2014Could you please try re-setting the domain name servers for eyestoburma.com through your 1&1 control panel to:
ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.comIf it still doesn’t “take” you may need to contact 1&1 support so they can investigate on their end.
Just let me know if you need further help.
