Pos images lost when importing from Opera

  I have imported the xml file that previously have been exported from Opera. All posts are there, but the posts show no images. In the WP media libery all images are present, but only with information, no actual files are imported. I have a zipfile with images exportes from Opera, but the filenames do not match the files in WP. Also, when I go in edit mode in a random post, htere seems to be no reference to a image at all.

  What could be wrong?

  I think I was wrong about that no reference to the images from the posts, it seems to be there. I guess the xlm file was without images because it exeeded the 15 mb export/import size. So I thing I need to upload all images from the zip file exported from Opera. The problem with the filenames is still there though, I tested with a single post, and i problely have to upload every image and make a new reference in each post.

  Hi Thomas,

  Because of how the importer works, images can only be automatically imported if the original blog is still available with the images there. (That’s because your export file refers to the images where they used to be, on your old blog.) If the original blog that your export file is from is not available anymore, you’ll need to manually upload your images and re-add them to your posts.
