How do I change the header image for an individual blog post? It should be as simple as right-clicking on a photo or a ‘change photo’ icon. What’s the deal? Facebook makes it easy. Why doesn’t WordPress?

How a website’s custom header image works is determined by the theme, and the default option in most themes is that one image is set for the entire site, so all posts and pages will show the same image.
If you want to be able to use a different image for specific posts, you need to use a theme that uses the post’s featured image as the custom header image.
Intergalactic 2, which you’re using, is one of those themes. In the editor, add a featured image to your post, and make sure it’s sized according to the recommended dimensions for your theme:
