Post links running vertical instead of horizontal

So, I run WordPress on three Lenovo computers, a desktop, a ThinkBook and a ThinkPad, all running Win 11 25H2.
On the ThinkBook, the initial link is running vertically down the screen at the head of each post, character by character and is thus useless if I want to view past posts. I need to view past posts if I want to be sure I am not duplicating my work when I think I have new information.
The ThinkPad and the desktop are working perfectly and I do not want to disrupt them. I use the ThinkBook when I travel.
Is there a way for me to correct this problem without affecting WordPress on the other two computers?

So, I read through the guide. I went into Settings and deleted all history (no loss there).
I restarted WordPress. No difference. I failed on the screen shot. Looks like this:

Before we dig further, I’d like to confirm something: when you say you’re “running WordPress” on the ThinkBook, I just wanted to confirm that means you are opening your site sciencesprings.wordpress.com in your browser, is that right?
The reason I ask is that running WordPress can mean something different, e.g., running your own local web server instance where you run WordPress. Just wanted to double-check, as I see you also mentioned “restarting” WordPress.
Since the ThinkBook likely has a different screen size and resolution compared to your desktop and ThinkPad, it’s worth checking a couple of display-related settings that could cause text and links to render in a narrow, vertical layout like what you’re describing:
- Windows display scaling: Right-click on your Desktop, select “Display settings,” and look at the “Scale” percentage. ThinkBooks often default to a higher scaling level (like 150% or 175%) because of their smaller, high-resolution screens. If it’s set higher than on your other computers, try lowering it a step and see if that helps.
- Browser zoom level: In Firefox, you can press Ctrl+0 (that’s the zero key) to reset the zoom to 100%. A high zoom combined with display scaling can cause content to squeeze into a very narrow column.
- Browser window width: Make sure your Firefox window is fully maximized or wide enough on the ThinkBook’s screen. A narrow window can force links to wrap vertically.

Since the issue only occurs on your ThinkBook and not on your other devices, it’s likely caused by a browser setting, extension, zoom level, or cached data rather than WordPress itself.

So, first, I am using Firefox. I tried opening WordPress in Chrome and got the same result. A person in the Forum sent me a guide concerning browser problems which I read. I deleted all cached items in “Privacy and security”. I re-started WordPress and the problem remained.
I launched WordPress in Chrome and got the same result.
I tried getting a screen shot but failed.
Since the problem repeated in Chrome does that change anything in the advice I was given?

Yes, opening your site sciencesprings.wordpress.com in your browser, Firefox.
I followed the steps and it looks like you have solved my problem. I am going to re-start the computer and see if it remains so. If it does, I will come back and mark this problem “resolved”
