Post not showing up on main page of blog

I made a post earlier that doesn’t seem to be showing up on the front page of my blog with the rest. I can access it by going back in my browser history but it’s not showing up when I search for the categories included in the post. I checked the settings and it should’ve been published immediately and publicly visible since i didn’t change that. Is it just slow or something?

I suggest that you edit the post and check the datestamp in the Publish Module. If you created it as a draft previously it’s possible that the datestamp got “stuck”. If that’s the case then as the datestamp is included in the URL the post could have actually been published under that earlier date rather than today’s date and you will be able to fix this and publish it. I acknowledge that what I describe may not be what happened in this case but what I describe has happened to me.
