post object field not showing posts in admin end

    I have set up a post object field through ACF, but post objects dont show up in the post object field.I have tried with hooks, etc I tried to find any pre get post in functions.php,I tried to switch themes, but in vain…Does this have anything to with the latest version of ACF not working on a backdated wordpress version?? please suggest a solution/s as soon as possible.I have been fighting with this issue since the last 3 weeks or so.
