post order is mixed up and not in reverse chronological order
-
I am attempting to keep my posts in order. I looked up how to alter post order, but did not find anything. The support section says that posts should be updated in reverse chronological order, with my most recent posts at the top of the blog. But that is not the case. My posts are in a strange order with the newest one in the middle and old and new ones mixed together. I find this to be inappropriate and incorrect. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,

Hi Michelle,
I see that you published all of your posts on the same day. Even though the post titles have different dates on them, the date that they were published is what will be used to put them in order.
You can check the publish date by looking at the date underneath the post’s title on the front of your blog, for example here: https://cloudup.com/c0HkK3t-64P
To change that, you can go to Posts > All Posts in your blog’s dashboard. Hover over one of your post titles, and then click the Edit link that appears there.
That will open your post editor. There you’ll see the Publish module — you can see what that looks like on this page: Post Screen
Next to where it says “Published on: May 14, 2014” you can click the Edit link and enter a new date for the post. If you put in the date that matches the date in the post’s title, your blog will put your posts in the correct order. Be sure to click the Update button to save the changes on the post when you’re done.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

Awesome, that was an easy enough fix.
Even if the posts were arranged by name since they were all posted on the same day, wouldn’t they still be arranged chronologically since the dates would be in ascending order? Just curious
thanks!

Your posts are actually always arranged in chronological order. Even if they were posted on the same day, they’ll be arranged based on the exact time they were published, rather than being arranged by title. If you wanted to have them all published on the same date, you could change the publish time instead of the date to re-order them. :)
