Post that I've been working on is back to an old version. New work gone.

  I am really sad. I just spent the last two days writing. I had over 4000 words written. I would hit “update” from time to time to make sure my work was saved.
  I just hit update and it is back to an earlier version both in the preview and in the working version.
  I am really sad.
  Is there some way to fix this? Is there a better way to save my work? 4000 words. Links. Photos. everything gone.

  Have you looked up the Revisions? http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/ they might still be there.

  With posts that long, particularly if people use the New Post button in the Admin bar, there are often glitches. That’s why we always recommend, for people who write these long posts, that they use and offline blog editor. That way if there’s an internet glitch, they still have an up to date copy.
