post types question

  I am fairly new to wordpress and just developed my own site now currently in testing at http://davidtinnes.selfip.com
  My question is this: I would like to make some posts that have no title just a date and all go into one category called work log, where I post what I am currently working on. The thing is, is that I dont really want them showing up in the main categories, and would like to have them all show up only when a user goes to that page.
  Can someone give me an idea on how to accomplish this the proper way with wordpress?
