Posting to a Specific Page
-
I’m sorry if this seems like an obvious question, but I’m new to WordPress.
I was wondering how I post text to a specific page. I created an “About” page and want to post something on that specific page, but when I create a new post, it just posts to the home page because it’s the most recent post. That’s fine if the post is on the home page, but I want it to be permanently on the About page yet it doesn’t even show up there, and I don’t see any buttons that ask which page I would like the text to be posted on.
If anyone could explain this to me, that would be great. Thanks.

See the support page Posts vs. Pages.
To edit or add to a previously published page go to Pages > All Pages > “Whatever your page is called.”
To create a new page go to Pages > Add New.
For posts, just substitute the word “posts” for the word “pages” in the above instructions.
