Posting URLS as clickable links, not plain text
-
I’m looking for a quick and easy solution to be able to post a URL and have it actually be clickable without having to open up the ‘insert link’ box. I don’t need to mask the URL with text to pretty it up or anything, the actual URL still visible is just fine. I was hoping that if I pasted a URL into my post without doing anything to it, it would be clickable, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
I know this is generally considered ‘bad form’ but the idea of the blog here is a place for me to slap down a bunch of information and links throughout the day that I can pass onto my friends quickly and easily. Each post is really only going to have value for a couple of days at most so it is definately a case of function over form here.
Is this at all possible here on the free hosted wordpress site? Am I missing something really obvious somewhere?
Another solution to the problem would be an equally fast way to insert screenshots in my post. The urls I’m posting are to screenshots that I’ve taken with the LightShot tool (http://lightshot.skillbrains.com/landing/lightshot1.html) as that is the easiest way I can think of to get these images to my friends without having to save, name, upload each image. If this ability is not available in the wordpress.com version of the software, is it available for those hosting the blog on their own servers?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

These are all the options I have. I seem to remember a lot more options on an earlier blog I set up. Could it be because I’m using the generic theme that the blog comes with?
