Posting Without Notifications
-
I recently lost content on a blog that was was on WordPress.org. I have the text content saved in emails but no photos. I want to copy all the remaining content into my blog on WordPress.com but I don’t want to have my followers receive notifications of this copied content when it posts. I also want to organize the content in chronological order, rather than having it post to the top page of my blog. Can this be done? I could kick myself for losing the content!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
To publish new posts without notifying your followers, set the site to private at My Site ->Settings. Once you’ve added your posts you can then set the site back to public.
It’s not possible to show your posts in chronological order on the site’s front page – that’s not how the WordPress software is designed to work.
But you can add a custom link to you menu that will show the posts in chronological order:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/show-your-posts-in-chronological-order/
Regarding your content, have you checked if you’re able to recover anything off a snapshot of your old site at https://web.archive.org/? You might be able to get at least some of your content back that way.
