Posts hidden from posts page but otherwise visible

  Is there a way to publish posts but not have them visible in your posts page? I want the posts to be visible only when you search them on one of my menu options but I don’t want them to be visible otherwise. Thanks.

  Only published (and therefore visible) posts are searchable. You can, however, back date your posts to keep them off the front page. See the note on this Support page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/schedule-a-post/

  There are all kinds of ramifications to doing this, so would you mind sharing the reason behind (just curious)?
