Posts not imported

  Hi,

  I’ve moved posts from a self-hosted WP blog to WordPress.com, by exporting posts and then importing them, following instructions. The file I tried to import was just below your max size (about 14mb) but most posts haven’t imported.

  It still shows them as importing if I go back to the page, and says to email support – any ideas how to fix the issue?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Not to worry. Sometimes the importer gets stuck. I tagged this thread for Staff to reset it for you. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe:

  I’ve cleared that import for you. You may need to re-import that file though.

  I’ve tried reimporting and the same thing has happened…any ideas?

  Since your file is very close to our size limit, you may need break it up into pieces for import. Let me know if you need help doing that.

  Thanks – I’ve now imported a smaller chunk of posts (7mb in total).

  It appears to be coming up with the same error again…!

  Is there any way I can clear the message and reimport? If so I’ll try with an even smaller chunk of posts…

  Hmm. I’ve cleared that import for you. It sounds like you may have an encoding issue with your file. I’ll send you a private email from help@wordpress.com.
