Posts without Sidebar
-
I’m trying to write a post without the sidebar being there. I’m using a free xyz.wordpress.com site. I’m not sure if this is even possible, but I can’t find the solution anywhere.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Some themes have no sidebars on the posts page, some have one, some have two, etc. If you want a posts page, or individual posts without sidebars the thing to do is switch to another theme.
Here’s a link to the 101 free themes in the WordPress.com Theme Showcase under the “one column” filter:
https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/one-column/?sort=free
Some of the themes in this list obviously have sidebars in the demos, but the sidebars may be optional.

So in this theme https://rebalancedemo.wordpress.com/2016/01/11/is-space-still-the-final-frontier/, which I found at the link you sent me, the article is still part of a two column layout. Is there an option to change this in the free theme, with a free hosting plan on wordpress.com?

Post and static pages with Rebalance have one-column layout . However, text is centered in pages, while it’s aligned to the right on posts. The wide space on the left side of posts is not a column, or a sidebar. It’s a margin. According to the Rebalance theme guide:
Rebalance offers one widget area which can be configured by going to Appearance → Widgets. If enabled, the sidebar will appear in the footer of your site.
I’m sure there are other themes where posts are centered between equal left and right margins.
