  I currently have a website with Wix and I would like to migrate to WordPress. As I go through the subscription process, you ask my domain… I just want to make sure I can control when the domain moves to the the WP webpage.. that is, I want to complete it first..

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  We don’t currently accept incoming domain transfers, so you will need to connect the domain to your WordPress.com site with domain mapping:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  It is a feature of all paid plans — Personal, Premium and Business. Each paid plan includes a free domain credit which you can use to map a domain you already own (or register a new one).

  You will need to continue renewing the domain through your current provider as the domain mapping upgrade doesn’t include renewal for the domain itself.

  Domain mapping can be added to your WordPress.com site whenever you are ready. Until then, your site will use a free WordPress.com address (example.wordpress.com). If you don’t want to upgrade, you can continue to use this free address instead.
