premium theme annual subscription

  hi there,

  just wanted to commit to a premium theme and read in some faq’s on wordpress that the purchase of a premium theme is a on-off livelong affair. however, when wanting to buy i am informed that the subscription is annual only and my payment will recur.
  well, which one of those statements is true and why am i forced to commit to a recurring payment when i seemingly only need to do a on-off payment? please enlighten me on this matter.

  Hi there,

  That messaging you see is a bug. Premium themes are once-off purchases, but the checkout page is incorrectly showing that it’s a subscription. This has already been reported, and should hopefully be fixed soon.

  You’ll only be charged once, no matter what it says on that screen :)
