Premium Theme charges

  I just bought the premium full frame by Graphics Paper for $75. Then I was told that I would automatically be charged a renewal fee every year. How much is that? They should post that info before one purchases the theme. So I lose the theme if I don’t renew? I also want to map my domain name to my wordpress.com site, which I believe is also a yearly fee. Could you please clarify these charges for me? Thanks. Ann Ramsey

  Hi Ann,

  I’m sorry for the confusion. Premium themes are a one-time purchase, so you won’t need to pay a renewal fee to continue using the Full Frame theme. I’ll check with our team to find out why that message comes up after buying a premium theme.

  The domain mapping is renewed yearly, at $13/year. You can read more about that upgrade here: Map an Existing Domain

  Thank you for your quick response. After working extensively with the Full Frame theme for 2 days, I have decided to go with wordpress.org. I’m not at all happy with the limitations I keep encountering in wordpress.com and want more creative control over my website. When I bought the theme it said I had a 30 day trial period and could get a refund if I wanted one. So that’s what I’m doing – I’d like my $75 refunded so I can put my money towards a wordpress.org theme. Thanks so much.

  Sure thing! You can cancel your purchase and request a refund from your My Upgrades page here: https://wordpress.com/my-upgrades/

  I can also do that for you, but first I’ll need to switch your site at http://honeythecockerspaniel.wordpress.com/ to one of our free themes. Is that okay? You can also do this yourself by choosing and activating one of our free themes from the theme showcase: https://wordpress.com/themes/type/free/

  Thanks again for your help. I just activated a different theme, but am unable to request a refund. When I click on “Cancel and Refund” I just get a box “Cancel and Refund” with an X in the upper right corner with no where to activate a refund.
