Press This – Sharing Button

  I can’t find the Press This sharing button in the customizing sharing button section of my settings. I have google searched and all the pictures show that it’s an option, I see it on everyone else’s posts but I can’t find where to add it. I go through BlueHost and maybe that’s limiting me?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I chatted with BlueHost and all they said was that I needed to pay a developer to write a code for it. That does’t seem to be right. I’ve also check my settings on my posts and they are set to publish publicly. I’m at a loss.

  Your site is using the open source WordPress software found on WordPress.org, something completely different from WordPress.com.

  The Press This bookmarklet for the open source WordPress software was retired with version 4.9 and replaced with this plugin:

  Thank you so much for responding quickly!! I already have the plug in but it doesn’t do what I was wanting. I want others to be able to reblog my posts and be able to reblog my own posts to another site I’ve been invited to be an author on. The Presez s This plugin is only for adding other content to my own original site and I won’t be doing much of that. I have, however found how to accomplish this with the sharing icon that I missed seeing before and others can use the sharing symbol they see on their reader. I’m just super new at all this and from an other generation that takes longer to get how this all works, it’s not intuitive for me at all. Thank you so much though. I’m going to research the difference between .com and .org. I have no idea what open source even means lol.

  If it helps, @ajd31952, the difference between the free software and our software is a bit like the difference between a recipe and a restaurant.

  The software is free, and the community works together to keep making it better, but you still would need to be able to maintain your own copy. We run that software as a service so you don’t have to maintain it on your own.
