Press this Tool Not Working

  Hi,
  I have another question regarding the press this tool. I added it to my bookmarks in my browser (firefox) and I understand how to use it (highlight text that you want to repost, click press this). However, when i do this, a bank post window comes up for me to write. None of the text highlighted shows up. Am I doing something wrong and not using the press this tool correctly?

  Yes, I did follow the guide to set it up. I also cleared my cache and its not working still. How strange :(

  @nhatae I think this may not be working will with the new block editor yet. Can you try switching to the classic editor to see if it will work then?

  I also have a free account so I can’t install the classic editor plugin since I’m don’t have a business plan

  No worries. You’ll see three little dots in the upper right. Click those, and from the dropdown pick Classic Editor.

  We’re working on getting this fixed for the block editor too, but for now if you use Press This a lot, that may be the easier way to go.

  Hi,
  im so sorry, I thought I had the issue resolved but it seems like it isn’t. The press this tool works when for certain articles however, it doesn’t seem to work for all for some reason. Also, I added the press this tool in another browser (Firefox) and I tried changed it to classic editor but it isn’t working in this browser.

  Can you please provide a link to a website where you tried using Press This, but where it didn’t copy the content into the new post?

  It’s possible specific websites have measures implemented to prevent this type of copying, in which case there’s nothing we can do. It should work fine with any site hosted on WordPress.com, but we cannot guarantee that it will work with any other sites that we don’t control.

  Also, I added the press this tool in another browser (Firefox) and I tried changed it to classic editor but it isn’t working in this browser.

  The editor isn’t set per browser. If you select the Classic Editor option once, you should always see the classic editor, no matter which browser you use.
