Prevent copying pictures from Google photos into media library

Some months ago it was possible to insert pictures from google photos in the blog post without copying those into the wordpress media library. But now it seems that I need to copy pictures from google photos into the wordpress media library. How can I change that?

This is an expected behavior, when you connect your Google Photos account, the images will be copied to your Media Library and ready to be used with any post or page:

If you do not want to host the images on your site, you may want to try adding the image via URL instead.
