Preview Posts

Hi,
Is there a way that I can set all my posts to preview without going in an manually changing each one. I would like my blog to be set out with just the picture (and/or a few lines underneath the first picture but when you click on the full post all of the pictures will be at the top as per my current setting)
Examples
http://www.viviannadoesmakeup.com/ (just the pictures on home page)
or
http://www.essiebutton.com/ (pictures and snippet of text on home page but all pictures are at the top in the full post)I hope this made sense, it seems like a bit of a ramble. Please let me know if you need me to clarify further and I’ll try.
Many thanks
LaurenThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes. Switch to using a theme that automatically displays front page excerpts. This is a partial list of active themes on WordPress.com that use the excerpt instead of full post content. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/theme-with-automatic-excerpts?replies=13#post-1396410
There are summaries only in your posts RSS feed http://stephsagventures.com/feed/
The setting here > Settings > Reading is only for the RSS Feed summary and does not affect the posts.
Otherwise if you want to display only excerpts on the front page of the blog on any theme that does not have that feature (automatic display of front page excerpts) followed by read more links, you have to insert “the more tag” into each post prior to publication.
