    Good afternoon,

    can you explain the pricing please? It seems like the pricing is $18 per year for the .com domain renewal. Does this include the word press fee per month as well?

    I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

    Happy to explain it!

    If you purchase one of the paid plans and pay annually, you’d get a domain registration free for the first year. For example, if you upgrade to the WordPress.com Premium plan and pay for the year at $96/year (as of now, in USD), you’ll be able to register a domain without paying the domain registration fee. This is applicable for the first year.

    From the second year onwards, the domain registration and the premium plan will be charged separately. Also, if you pay monthly for any of the plans, the domain for the first year is not included. That means you’ll need to pay for the domain and the paid plan right away.

    How much you pay for the domain depends on the domain that you register. You can see a list of pricing for the domains here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-pricing-and-available-tlds/
