Primary adress domain problem plugins installation impossible

  Hello,

  I have 2 problems I can’t resolve. Thank you for your help.

  1. I would like to make of chips-de-kale.com (domain that I own already) my primary adress but it doesn’t seem to work. I changed de DNS many times and redirected the adress but it still doesnt work properly.

  2. I am the owner of a flickr account and have a gallery that I want to share directly on my blog (http://www.flickr.com/photos/happycrulture/sets)
  I downloaded 2 plugins to avoid being redirected to another flickr page but apparently there is no way to put these plugins on my wordpress through the extension button although I paid 80€ to be able to do so.

  I would like to know how to install new plugins on my blog or if not possible being reimbursed.

  Hi Camila,

  I checked WordPress.com records, and you have the domain name chipsdekale.com mapped to your site. Do you own the domain name chipsdekale.com or chips-de-kale.com? If it’s chips-de-kale.com please let me know so we can correct your domain mapping upgrade for you.

  However, it looks like that domain’s DNS isn’t yet pointed to WordPress.com. You’ll need to update the DNS for that domain name to use the following nameservers:

  • NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  • NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  • NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  2. I am the owner of a flickr account and have a gallery that I want to share directly on my blog (http://www.flickr.com/photos/happycrulture/sets)

  You can display a gallery of Flickr photos on your blog with our Flickr widget: Flickr Widget

  However, if you’d like to use plugins to display your Flickr photos in a different way, you won’t be able to do that here at WordPress.com. It is not possible to install plugins on WordPress.com, for security reasons. (Purchasing an upgrade does not change this for WordPress.com blogs.)

  Plugins can only be installed on self-hosted WordPress blogs. If you are wondering how WordPress.com differs from WordPress.org, this support article explains the distinction: WordPress.com and WordPress.org

  If you would like a refund on any of the upgrades you purchased, you can cancel those upgrades from Store > My Upgrades in your dashboard. We have additional instructions for that here: My Upgrades: Canceling Upgrades

  Thank you for your reply.
  I do own both domains : chipsdekale.com and chips-de-kale.com

  I would like the first one to be my primary domain. Yes, please, thank you to correct my domain mapping upgrade for me.

  I cannot do it since yesterday.

  Sorry Rachel,

  I realized I need to switch the primary domain (chipsdekaleraw.com) I bought with my WP to chipsdekale.com. Is it possible to do so and then maybe cancel chipsdekaleraw.com?

  Hi Camila,

  You can switch your primary domain by going to Store > Domains in your dashboard and selecting the domain you want to use. We have more information about that here: Changing your primary domain

  I went ahead and switched the primary domain to chipsdekale.com for you. Please note that it may take a day or two for this change to take full effect.

  Is it possible to do so and then maybe cancel chipsdekaleraw.com?

  If we cancel your newly-registered domain chipsdekaleraw.com, it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and we can’t guarantee that your domain will be available to you again once canceled. Please do not cancel your domain unless you are sure you don’t want to use it at all.

  If you are sure you want to cancel the domain chipsdekaleraw.com, please let me know and I can help you with that. :)
