Primary Domain Redirect Loop

    I bought a domain name about a month ago for my blog: vtaverasdalmau.wordpress.com. I made it into my primary domain so that the address people see is vtaverasdalmau.com. The site doesn’t work. Whenever I visit it, I get an error message saying that “The web page has a redirect loop”. The only way I can make it work, is if I make vtaverasdalmau.wordpress.com my primary domain, and redirect vtaverasdalmau.com to it. This defeats the purpose of purchasing a domain/. I have cleared my cache and cookies and also waited the necessary period of time allowed for the changes to take place.

    Can you please advise on what I am doing wrong? I don’t believe I have to map the existing domain as my blog was already created in WordPress.

    Hi there,

    Please note that sometimes it can take a couple days to fully propagate. Can you please change the primary domain back to vtaverasdalmau.com and then clear your cache/cookies. Also, please check another browser like Firefox to see if it’s up. If it’s still not working, please be patient. Let me know if it’s still not up by tomorrow.
