Privacy Error
-
I have started getting a privacy error when trying to access my website (NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID). It had been working fine up until a few days ago, when I started getting this error message. What is the cause for this error?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
For what site is this, and what exactly are you trying to do when you get that error? The site at https://stefdaschef.food.blog/ is working for me, and the site’s SSL certificate is also fine.

Hi – thanks for the quick reply. Yes, the site I am referring to is https://stefdaschef.food.blog. I am just trying to view the site, and I get that error. I also cannot preview my draft posts; I get the error: “The webpage at [ … ] might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.” I am not sure why it is not working for me, if it’s working fine for you…

After some more troubleshooting, it seems to be related to my wifi. When I’m connected to my wifi I get the privacy error, but I can access it just fine through mobile data. Any ideas why that may be?

That is odd. Do you know who administers or supports your wifi? Is this at work or on your personal wifi connection? Also, is there a way you can confirm this using a different device on the same connection?
If it’s definitely the connection, it might be worth contacting its support to see if there’s a setting or some cache that need to be cleared.

Hi – I ended up contacting customer support for my router, and they were able to fix the issue. Thanks!
