  I am trying to private my site, but it is only giving me options to make my site public or hidden (the third option- to private- is not there).

  It sounds like you want the site to be hidden.

  I want it to be PRIVATE, not hidden, but the option isn’t available. It needs to be private so when I transfer my domain it brings people to my new site rather than my old site.

  Hmm. We’ll need to take a look. Can you confirm which site you’re struggling with?

  Noting too, the Private option will only appear on sites hosted here on our servers. I noticed you have a few sites through other hosting providers, and for those you would want to install a plugin to make the sites private.
