Private Blog, Viewers Accepted, but Viewers do not appear as Users, Only Admin
-
Hello,
My blog is set to private. I sent invitations with the “viewer” role specified and some were accepted, but the accepted viewers are not appearing in the settings–>users page for me to see or manage. Shouldn’t I be able to see them on the user page with their roles of viewer listed? I only see Admin.
I completed my first post, and it is currently published as public which hopefully means only my viewers can read it since the blog is private. If I publish the posting as private on a private blog then only the admin can see it, Is that correct?
Thank you for your help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,

When you invite users with the “Viewer” role, you’ll see them listed under “Past Invitations” on the Users > Invite New page. (There you can see all the viewers who have accepted the invitation.) Since viewers are different from regular users who can contribute to your blog, you won’t see them in the Users list under Users > All Users.

Yep, that’s right! When your whole blog is private, only users/viewers on the blog can see your public posts. And a post that you specifically set to private can only be viewed by Editors or Administrators on the blog.
Please let me know if you have any other questions about that. :)
