Private login for a group of users of the site?

  Is it possible to set up a separate, private login section for a group of users? I would like participants in my research to be able to log in and download forms and documents that will not be publicly available. Is this possible? If so, how do I set up this function?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  There are two ways to go about this.

  The first is that you can set any post or page to be password protected using these instructions:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/

  You could also start a secondary site for those specific users and set it to be private “invite only” using these instructions:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
