private setting

  I set my blog as private, no one can get on without invitation and I have not invited anyone (I don’t want any viewer right now). Yet my stats show as many as 7 views of my home page in a day. I don’t know who these people are and how are they able to get on? Again, right now, I want to shut down my blog so I do not want anyone to see it. Is there another setting to prevent hits?

  Hi,

  When a site is set to private, and only then, your own views are counted. When you open a post or page, click on an image, etc. you’ll get a page view.
