'Private' setting
-
With my setting at ‘private’ a blog post published anyway before I was ready. In fact, the ‘stats’ say there have been three posts, which could mean earlier drafts went up.
How do I prevent posts from publishing? and if earlier drafts are published, how can I retrieve them or delete them? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Go to https://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php
*Replace NAME_OF_BLOG in that URL with the actual name of the blog.
Hover over the post title and click the Edit link.
For editing in the new editor see:

Posts do not publish unless you click the publish button. There is a save as draft button you can click instead.
-
Creating a private blog does not render the posts and pages within it as private. See: Go Back and Edit Posts

THANK YOU.
There were, in fact, two aborted posts, which I believe I have deleted. I will now go back and look for the “Save as Draft” button.
Hope all my other mistakes will be as easily corrected.
